Mmmm … Gyros

Did you know you can get pre-made gyro meat at Trader Joe‘s? I didn’t either until recently.

As with a couple of posts before, this isn’t a recipe as much as an idea for a quick dinner when you have no time to actually cook.

What You Need
Gyro Meat from TJ’s
Cucumber, sliced or diced
Romaine Lettuce
Onion, diced or sliced
Tomato (if you like that kind of thing)
Hummus
Tzatziki dip (also available from TJ’s)
Kalamata Olives
Crumbled Feta Cheese
Bell Pepper, sliced or diced
Pita Bread

What You Need To Do
1. Cut the pita in half and put it in the oven to warm – about 10 minutes
2. Cook the meat in a pan, about 30 seconds on each side
3. Stuff your pita with all the goodies you like and enjoy!

Tips
• If you’re including both hummus and tzatziki, spread the hummus on the inside of the pita before stuffing. It will help everything stick.
